Description
This image of a female ruby throated hummingbird was captured in my brother's front yard garden nearly a decade ago. During daylight hours, the birds (numbering as many as half a dozen at a time) were constant visitors to the red monarda (bee balm) plants near the front porch, and the hanging baskets over the porch rail.
