Visiting Davis West Virginia's Blackwater Falls State Park in October we generally see a lot of deer. However it's a rarity to see anything but does and fawns. Yesterday afternoon (10/13/22) we glanced out the window of our cabin and this magnificent mature buck was browsing just a few yards away. In order to not spook him I took several shots through a closed window with screen and crossed my fingers. The original was very very hazy and noisy, but I was able to overcome that problem through judicious editing to produce a stunning print of this majestic whitetail buck. For the technically curious, this image was captured with a Canon R6 mirrorless camera with RF24-105mm IS/USM lens.
