Description
The sun had barely peeked over the eastern horizon one morning late this Spring (2021) when this hungry little female ruby-throated hummingbird showed up at our front yard feeder. Thanks to a very fast shutter, I captured her with wings still widespread and body still stretched out as she landed on the feeder. I really like the way the sun backlit and illuminated her wings. Sadly all our hummers headed south in September, but we eagerly await their return next Spring when we can enjoy their energetic antics once again.
