Description
A wet late-Autumn snow had fallen overnight and as daytime temps started to rise, the melting snow on the petals of a spent limelight hydrangea created a crystalline pattern on the old blooms. I captured this closeup shot mid-morning under cloudy skies which still held the threat of more snow. The delicately blurred snow on the ground behind the bloom provided a nice textured shadows-and-light background which I enhanced by adding a light vignette effect around the bloom.
