Critters - Ospreys Wall Art

This collection contains images of ospreys both at rest and in flight. Most of the images were captured on or near Maryland's Chesapeake Bay shoreline in Pasadena Maryland, but there are also several images captured at the Blackwater Refuge on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Ospreys are expert fishermen, and as a fisherman myself I’ve enviously watched these birds pluck sizable fish from areas I thought I’d worked over pretty well. They’re not aggressive in general, but on a couple occasions I’ve seen nesting pairs chasing bald eagles out of their nesting area. As a photographic subject, they’re also pretty reliable, generally returning to the same nesting site year after year.
